Historic housing legislation signed into law in ColoradoToday marks a significant milestone in Colorado's efforts to address the housing crisis. Governor Polis signed SB24-174, "State Support for Sustainable Affordable Housing," into law, a bill that will empower municipalities to develop innovative and effective housing solutions with state support. This legislation is the result of a collaborative effort between CML, state lawmakers, and community stakeholders. It represents a bipartisan commitment to providing affordable housing options for all Coloradans. We're proud to have played a role in this important legislation and grateful for the bill’s sponsors Sen. Rachel Zenzinger (D-Arvada), Senator Barb Kirkmeyer, (R-Weld County), State Representative Shannon Bird (D-Westminster), and House Minority Leader @Rose Pugliese (R-Colorado Springs). CML is hitting the road this spring! We've had the privilege of connecting with members at District meetings in Northglenn, Fort Morgan, Burlington, and Trinidad. Next week, we're off to visit Districts 8, 9, 11, 12, 10, 13, and our newest District 15! These meetings are an invaluable opportunity for members to learn about legislative impacts, network, and meet the CML team. #CMLOnTheRoad #LocalGovernment #MunicipalLeadership
