Mrs. Rex Taylor of Jim Brannan Company arranged the sale. Mail Truck Kills Tot, 3, in Dallas DALLAS, Aug. 29 mail truck killed a 3-year-old girl Saturday in front of her home in the Pleasant Grove section. The victim was Belinda McGee.

The child's mother said the mail truck stopped in front of the house every day and Belinda Gayle ran out to meet it each time it stopped. Saturday, she was on the wrong side of the street. She ran in front of the truck just as the postman, Ira B. Russell, 46, was getting ready to leave. The mother screamed, but Russell had already started the truck.

Both the front and rear wheels of the truck passed over the child. Burial will be in Greenwood after funeral services at 2 p. m. Monday in Ow ens Brumley Chapel for William Vaughn Jones, 86, retired postal employe and printing company owner, who died Saturday after a long illness, Jones came Worth in 1898, when he became associated with postoffice. He was one of the organizers of the old Postoffice Band, a top Fort Worth amusem*nt attraction during the early 1900s.

After leaving the postal service, Jones operated his own printing company in the Polytechnic area more than 25 years. He retired about four years ago. Jones was a member of Polytechnic Methodist Church and several Masonic orders. He was not a Shriner, but he played alto horn with the Moslah Shrine Band and often traveled with it on out-ofstate trips. He and his family resided at 2101 Ave.

about 35 years. He had been living at the W. H. Grove Home for the last several years. Surviving are two sons, Jack and W.

29 (Spl) hearing will be conducted here Sept. 24 on the proposed discontinuance of a Frisco Railway passenger train, the Black Gold, between Dallas and Tulsa, the Interstate Commerce Commission has announced. The hearing will begin at 1 p. m. in U.

S. District Court and will be conducted by Jerome K. Lyle, ICC examiner. The railroad had planned to discontinue service Aug. 15, but several operating brotherhoods and cities between Dallas and Tulsa objected.

The ICC halted the proposed move until an investigation and hearing could be conducted.
