Each AMG GT engine is crafted by the hands of a single master whose name adorns a plate on top. Along with higher boost, enhancements to the 4.0L biturbo V8's oil pan, intercooler and internal airflow help deliver 60 mph in 3.8 seconds in the 469-hp GT 55, and 3.1 seconds in the 577-hp GT 63. The acclaimed AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9-speed transmission features a wet startup clutch in place of a conventional torque converter, for lighter weight, lower inertia, quicker shifts and heightened emotions. Shift paddles stay fingertip close on the AMG Performance steering wheel.

Rear-axle steering can turn the rear wheels up to 2.5°, in phase with or opposite the fronts. Intelligent control factors driving speed, turning angle and other parameters to offer quicker, more stable handling at speed, or more nimble maneuvering in town or tight spaces.
Mood shifter
