We are going to IAC2024 ! 🚀I am thrilled to announce that all three of my teams' submitted abstracts have been selected for presentation during the upcoming International Astronautical Congress that will be held this year in Milan, Italy.✨️ "Canadarm, Canadarm2, and Canadarm3: The evolution of Canada's iconic robotic system and its impacts from space down to Earth" is a collaborative inter-university student research initiative that I am leading since beginning this year about the Canadarms.✨️ "Legal Framework of On-Orbit Robotic Arm for Active Debris Capture and Removal" will give a more in-dept look at one of the most promising solutions to remove space debris.✨️ "Multilayer Microstrip Patch Antenna Array System for the Canadian PEEKbot Lunar Rover" corresponds to my bachelor's final year Capstone project conducted at Polytechnique Montréal (Département de génie physique - Polytechnique Montréal) with mentorship from the Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne.With these presentations, this will surely be for me an exciting 2nd time participation to the IAC, following last year's participation in Baku. #IAC2023 A huge thank you also to all of my co-authors from the respective abstracts (names in comment) for their remarkable engagement and useful advices throughout the preparation of these abstracts. Really exciting to see this innovative space debris project being led by ASTROLITH!Having done the ESA Academy Space Debris Training Course last September, I am well aware of how important space debris detection is to accurately model and predict impact probabilities. C'est avec grand plaisir que je présenterai deux projets en lien avec l'exploration spatiale lors du 91e Congrès de l'Acfas, le lundi 13 mai à l'Université d'Ottawa!Le premier projet, intitulé "Antenne réseau microruban multicouches en bande X pour un astromobile lunaire canadien", traite sur mon projet intégrateur de fin de baccalauréat effectué à Polytechnique Montréal en équipe avec Sabrina Kirk, Michael S. Mayerhofer et Louis-Frédéric Racicot. Mandatés par la Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne, au cours de la dernière année nous avons dû concevoir, fabriquer et tester une antenne pour le mini rover lunaire canadien nommé #PEEKbot, afin que celui-ci puisse communiquer directement avec une station terrestre lors de son séjour sur la Lune. Lors du congrès, nous présenterons notamment nos choix de conception, les procédés de fabrication et les résultats de tests obtenus en chambre anéchoïque. Le second projet, intitulé "Canadarm, Canadarm2 et Canadarm3: L'évolution du système robotique emblématique du Canada et ses retombées de l'espace à la Terre", est une initiative de recherche étudiante que j'ai initiée en début d'année et qui compte plus de 14 autres étudiants provenant de 5 universités à travers le Québec. Le but de ce projet de recherche est de faire le point sur l'évolution de la technologie du #Canadarm, à travers ses trois générations en incluant le #Canadarm3 présentemment en conception pour la station spatiale lunaire Gateway, tout en discutant de ses retombées tant sur le domaine spatial que sur la société.Le lien vers l'horaire de la journée (colloque 202) ainsi que les résumés soumis pour les deux projets : https://lnkd.in/d6TvW_Hi#Acfas #91eCongrès #Explorationspatiale
